Ministry launches municipal training program
The Ministry of Local Administration, in cooperation with the Jordanian Academy for Administrative Sciences, has launched a program to develop the capacities of municipal employees. The program aims to train and qualify more than 2,000 employees from various municipalities across Jordan. It focuses on essential areas including urban planning, financial aspects, procurement and projects, and local development, with the goal of improving government performance efficiency and the services provided to citizens, who receive approximately 70% of their services from municipalities. The program is being implemented at 16 locations across different regions and includes measurable results and recommendations for follow-up and evaluation. It is part of broader administrative reform efforts to strengthen the role of municipalities and enhance the quality of life for citizens.
