Police identify man in Lake Mead barrel
The identity of Edward Lelburian Jackson, whose remains were found in a barrel in Lake Mead in 2022, has been revealed after four years of investigation. Jackson, believed to have been murdered in the mid-1970s to early 1980s, was confirmed through DNA analysis, but there is no current evidence linking him to the Las Vegas area or organized crime. The case highlights the increasing discovery of human remains as Lake Mead's water levels continue to drop due to drought and overuse.
