German WWII U-boat found after 82 years
A German U-boat from World War II, scuttled after being attacked by the Royal Navy in July 1944, has been discovered off the coast of Devon after 82 years. The wreck of U-672 was identified by Plymouth-based divers nearly 70 meters underwater, with the vessel's features confirmed through video. The submarine's coordinates had been misrecorded historically, delaying its discovery, but recent identification provides closure on its location and fate.
