L.A. TV and film shoots decline despite tax incentives
Los Angeles experienced a slight decline in on-location filming, with 4,171 shoot days recorded in the third quarter, a 4.8% decrease from the previous year. Despite the slowdown, projects receiving a state tax credit—such as TV shows and feature films—have helped bring some productions back to the area. Overall, industry activity remains significantly below five-year averages, highlighting ongoing challenges in restoring filming levels in Los Angeles.
