Elon Musk unveils flying Tesla Roadster
Tesla has announced the upcoming production of its second-generation Roadster, with plans to begin manufacturing in 2028. The new model was showcased in a demo featuring impressive stunts and performance claims, including acceleration under a second and speeds reaching half the speed of sound. A limited "Rocket" version equipped with thrusters for flying capabilities will be available only to invited customers, highlighting Tesla's collaboration with SpaceX, but this version will not be road-legal. Despite generating excitement, the Roadster's high price and delayed production have limited its impact on Tesla’s overall sales, which have been affected by broader market challenges and Musk's focus on AI and robotics.
