San Diego chef linked to Iowa kidnapping
A fugitive wanted for nearly 14 years in connection with a 2012 kidnapping and shooting in Iowa was arrested in San Diego after working as a chef under an assumed identity. Brian Anthony Williams, 50, was found working at a restaurant in Mission Beach where he had been employed for over eight years and appeared in local media interviews. His arrest was prompted when someone recognized him from a media profile and alerted authorities, leading to his capture by U.S. Marshals. He faces charges including kidnapping, assault causing serious injury, and arson, and is now in federal custody pending extradition to Iowa.
