Blade absent as Black heroes face cutbacks
Several Marvel projects featuring Black characters, including the "Blade" reboot and series like "Wonder Man," have been canceled or stalled, raising concerns about the studio's commitment to Black representation. Despite Marvel's past successes with diverse films and characters, recent setbacks suggest a shift that may de-prioritize Black-led stories, prompting questions about their treatment within the MCU. The situation reflects broader challenges in sustaining Black character narratives amid shifting corporate and political pressures.
