Letitia James to lead Cornell assault case
Cornell University will undergo an independent investigation into a gang rape allegation at a fraternity, with New York Attorney General Letitia James leading the probe. The case, which involves accusations of drugging and assault by fraternity members, has drawn national outrage due to the university’s previous handling of similar cases. Gov. Kathy Hochul criticized local prosecutors and stated that she lost faith in their ability to oversee the investigation fairly.
