Pilot and crew prevent plane crash
A co-pilot aboard Flydubai Flight 1073 attempted to crash the plane by stabbing the pilot during the flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv, causing the aircraft to plunge over Saudi Arabia. Passengers and crew, including an Israeli plumber and others, stormed the cockpit, subdued the attacker, and helped stabilize the plane, allowing it to land safely after nearly 83 minutes of rapid descent. The co-pilot, an Omani national with suspected motives linked to possible suicidal tendencies, was arrested in Saudi Arabia, while the injured pilot was hospitalized in stable condition. The incident prompted a review of cockpit security measures amid ongoing regional tensions.
