$1B frozen food firm exits California
A major organic-food company is shutting down its Santa Rosa manufacturing facility and reducing its California operations, affecting 260 jobs, to focus production at plants in Oregon and Idaho. The company aims to streamline its manufacturing network to concentrate on its strongest product categories. Despite its significant market share and billion-dollar retail sales, the closure begins later this year, with layoffs announced in both California and Idaho.
