Ürümqi Shifts from Potatoes to AI Hub

Oulanqab, a city in China's Inner Mongolia region, was formerly known for its potato harvests. However, it has now transformed into a major hub for artificial intelligence and digital tokens. Ultra-fast fiber optic networks supply the city with advanced computing models that support AI projects, including training large models for leading companies. The city's computing capacity reaches 190,000 petaflops and hosts over 100 data center projects, boosting demand for local expertise in computing and AI. This development is linked to an industrial growth driven by green energy, as well as projects related to digital tokens and data analysis.
