Iraqi factions facing financial challenges

The article reveals the financial crisis facing Iranian-backed armed factions in Iraq, as a result of U.S. sanctions that led to the blockage of billions of dollars in oil revenues and the freezing of cryptocurrency assets, causing economic hardship that impacts their ability to pay salaries to their fighters. Additionally, Washington has placed an Iraqi bank on the sanctions list for allegedly assisting Tehran in evading economic sanctions.
