Uncertainty Over Oraal's Arrest Location

It has been announced that Syrian intelligence forces have arrested Meraj Oral, the main suspect in the Baniyas massacre of 2013. He was detained while attempting to flee across the Syrian border, during a joint operation conducted by Turkish and Syrian intelligence agencies, without the knowledge of Lebanese authorities. A Lebanese security source confirmed that he was arrested in Lebanon and taken to Syria. Oral is one of the most prominent officials responsible for the massacre, which resulted in the deaths of hundreds of civilians. He has been wanted for a long time for his involvement in the 2013 bombings in Turkey, and he was identified during a security operation on the Syrian border, following a bloody history of violent activities dating back to the 1970s. Other individuals associated with the massacre have also been detained. The locals expressed hope that this arrest would be a step toward holding those responsible for these crimes accountable.
