A Lebanese security source revealed that Ali Kayali, involved in a massacre in western Syria in 2013 which resulted in the death of at least 250 people, was arrested in Lebanon without the knowledge of Lebanese authorities, in coordination with Turkish and Syrian agencies. Kayali, also known as "Meraj Oral," was transferred to Syria after being kidnapped from an area near Beirut. The Syrian side confirmed his detention, while a Lebanese source mentioned that the operation was carried out with their approval and coordination with Turkey.
