UAE Central Bank hosts annual Bangkok event

The Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates, in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance and the UAE Banks Federation, organized the annual reception ceremony for the country's banks for 2026 on the sidelines of the annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank in Bangkok. The event was attended by senior officials from the UAE and 15 other countries, as well as presidents and directors of international banks. During the event, ways to strengthen international financial and investment cooperation were discussed, reaffirming the UAE’s position as a global financial hub. Governor Khaled Mohamed Balama confirmed that the event reflects the leadership’s vision to support the growth of the financial sector and enhance its global competitiveness, with over 600 leaders from the banking and fintech sectors participating.
