Beijing reduces gap with Washington
Reports indicate that China is making rapid advances in space exploration, with Chinese company Land Space successfully landing one of its rockets back on Earth for the first time, enhancing its capabilities in developing reusable rockets. However, China still lags behind the United States, which has more than twice as many satellites and conducts more than twice the number of launches annually. Beijing is aiming to boost its space capabilities in a way that threatens U.S. dominance by launching hundreds of thousands of internet satellites and developing advanced military space capabilities to target other satellites. This trend increases the likelihood of space becoming a future conflict zone. The article explains that these developments are compelling the United States to intensify its efforts and reconsider its strategies to maintain its supremacy in space.
