Israel releases new files on Yahya Sinwar
The Israeli newspaper "Walla" revealed documents handwritten by Yahya Sinwar, the former leader of Hamas, showing his planning of scenes of terror during the October 7 attack. The documents indicate that Sinwar was working to convince the Israeli leadership that Hamas was heading toward a political settlement, while simultaneously preparing to carry out an attack including filming scenes of stabbings, shootings, bombings, and captives, with a plan to document and prominently showcase these terrifying visuals. He also called for expanding the assault if the situation deteriorated, reflecting the organization's intentions to incite and influence public opinion, according to the plans uncovered in the documents.
