The United States urged Lebanese President Joseph Aoun to seize Hezbollah's explosives and hold those responsible for their smuggling and financing accountable. It emphasized the need to cease fire and establish direct military communication between the Lebanese Army and Israel. Additionally, the U.S. called on Aoun to pressure Israel to halt its attacks in southern Lebanon and to adhere to the June 26 agreement requiring Israeli withdrawal from Lebanese territories, despite ongoing military operations and conflicts between the two sides. Hezbollah announced that the truck stopped by security forces belongs to them, demanding its release along with the detainees. An American-Lebanese-Israeli military meeting is expected to be held to discuss the implementation of the Israeli withdrawal agreement from southern Lebanon.
