Trump opts for silent execution of Nidal Hassan

U.S. President Donald Trump announced that the execution of Dr. Nidal Hassan, convicted of killing 13 people, including American soldiers, in the 2009 attack, will not be broadcast live on social media. Despite the scheduled execution by lethal injection on December 3rd at Fort Hood, Texas, this will be the first military execution in the United States since 1961 and the first lethal injection execution since 1945. Trump explained that the decision not to broadcast live aims to respect the feelings of the attack victims, while emphasizing the right of their families to attend the execution in person to achieve justice.
