Sharjah Aims to Attract Chinese Investors

The Emirate of Sharjah in the UAE is actively working to boost the attraction of Chinese companies and investments by developing an integrated industrial, commercial, and logistical base. Currently, Sharjah hosts more than 850 Chinese companies, with the bilateral trade value reaching 6.3 billion dirhams in 2025. The emirate is home to over 2,800 factories across 21 industrial zones, with products exported to more than 120 countries. It relies on a logistics network that includes ports, airports, and free zones, with a focus on high-value sectors such as advanced manufacturing, technology, artificial intelligence, and sustainable energy. Additionally, the Sharjah Investment Forum has been launched to enhance collaboration with international investors, especially as non-oil trade with China rose to $111.5 billion in 2025, marking a 24.5% increase from the previous year. Recently, the shipment of Chinese vehicles via a direct maritime line between Xiomu Port in Shenzhen and Khorfakkan Port was initiated, part of efforts to strengthen trade and logistical ties between the emirate and China.
