China's logistics index expands for fifth month

The self-assessment of China's logistics sector shows a positive performance, with the expansion period continuing for the fifth consecutive month. In September, the Prosperity Index reached 51.5 points, an increase of 0.6 percentage points from the previous month. The data indicates an increase in ten out of twelve sub-indices, with notable growth in new orders and cargo volumes across different transportation modes, supported by the peak consumer season. Operational efficiency has also improved, with better utilization rates of equipment and inventory turnover. Market outlooks remain positive, as the Activity Expectations Index stood at 56.2 points, reflecting growing optimism among companies and their readiness to invest in the fourth quarter. These trends suggest the sector is likely to maintain its growth in the short term.
