Egyptian drivers killed in Khartoum

Two Egyptian drivers were killed and another was injured in a shooting in downtown Khartoum. The attacker was arrested, according to a statement from the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which emphasized the need to transport the deceased to Egypt and to ensure the injured’s safety. This incident comes at a time when the Sovereignty Council formed an investigation committee into an attack targeting Sudanese miners on the border with Egypt, while the Egyptian army was conducting a campaign against illegal gold mining. The campaign resulted in the death and injury of several Sudanese miners in aerial raids.
