Israel permits US firm to seize Hamas weapons

Israel has agreed to allow an American company to enter the Gaza Strip in the coming days to survey potential sites where Hamas might surrender its weapons. This is part of a U.S. plan aimed at establishing peace and disarming Hamas. The company will conduct a field survey of locations under Israeli control in Rafah and Khan Younis to identify complexes where Hamas forces can hand over their weapons without threatening Israeli security. Despite American pressures, Israel has expressed pessimism about the success of the operation, while Hamas views it as an effort to rebuild and prepare for a possible future escalation. Hamas is increasing its efforts to stockpile weapons in anticipation of any potential escalation after the elections.
