Riyadh airports clear Iran offers mediation
The Houthi attack on Riyadh International Airport led to its temporary closure, with approximately 78% of flights in the Saudi capital canceled. The assault resulted in one death and injuries to 11 others. Attacks on the airport continued over the following days, causing destruction and prompting air defenses to intercept missiles and drones. The Saudi-UAE coalition announced the destruction of several targets amid ongoing escalation in the Yemen-Saudi conflict. Amid rising tensions, Iran expressed concern and offered to mediate between the Houthis and Saudi Arabia, urging both sides to engage in dialogue to end the hostilities.
