Iraqi Minister: Tigris Bloodstained by AIDS Patients
Iraqi Minister of Environment, Surwa Abdul Wahid, spoke about the pollution of the Tigris River water with medical waste, including the blood of AIDS patients. She warned against eating fish caught in the river out of fear of contamination. She stated that the fish feed on these pollutants and confirmed that 50% of Iraq’s water is unfit for use. This has sparked widespread debate on social media and calls for her accountability or resignation due to her failure to address the water pollution crisis.
