Hezbollah's Weapon in Hariri's Killing
A vehicle loaded with hundreds of kilograms of explosives made from TNT and RDX was seized in Lebanon. It was found that two of the detainees belong to Hezbollah, and the materials were on their way to southern Lebanon. This event has brought back memories of the assassination of former Prime Minister Rafiq Hariri, raising concerns about the potential escalation of violence and political assassinations in the country. Particularly given the increasing incendiary rhetoric from the party and the rising political and security tension. The news highlights calls for a firm political and legal stance to prevent such operations from happening again, and to curb Hezbollah's attempts to confuse the situation and to halt the state's efforts to stop accumulating weapons.
