Former Syrian official detained

A former officer of the Syrian regime, known by the nickname "Guard of the Capital," has been arrested. His name is Brigadier General Mard Muhammad, due to his military involvement in operations in rural Damascus, particularly in areas such as Qaboun, Jobar, Wadi Barada, Qusayr, and Ain Terma, as part of operations called "God's Promise." Investigations are ongoing to gather additional evidence and take the necessary legal measures against him. This follows the detention by Syrian security forces in September of a former senior officer in the Republican Guard, as the regime continues to hold both individuals amid investigations into former officials' roles in the Syrian war.
