Trump criticizes Ethiopia over Nile Dam
U.S. President Donald Trump spoke about the Ethiopian Renaissance Dam crisis, criticizing Ethiopia’s construction of the large dam, which is considered one of the biggest in the world. He described it as blocking the waters of the Nile River and threatened it poses a critical threat to Egypt, which relies on the Nile for 97% of its water. Trump announced that the United States funded the construction of the dam, which he considers an unnecessary project that hinders water flow to Egypt. He also promised to attempt to mediate an agreement between Egypt and Ethiopia regarding the dam.
