Clashes Erupt in Hasakah Over Sharia Law

The city of Al-Hasakeh in northeastern Syria is experiencing a rise in security tensions, with clashes occurring between public security forces and members of the "Revolutionary Youth." There are concerns that the situation may worsen. Security reinforcements have been deployed by the authorities to establish control over the predominantly Kurdish area. The tensions were anticipated due to the Kurdish community's disagreement with the agreement with Damascus, as some Kurds complain about injustices in the distribution of positions. Additionally, hateful rhetoric is escalating on social media platforms. The report highlights an urgent need to address political and social wounds, with the possibility of direct intervention by the Syrian president to calm the situation.
