Mohammad VI affirms Spain partnership sovereignty

King Mohammed VI of Morocco defended the partnership with Spain, affirming that it is a "sovereign decision" and not subject to pressure, following the migrant flow crisis to the Ceuta enclave in July. He emphasized that the current model of international cooperation is no longer sufficient to address challenges, especially the issue of irregular migration, which has led to diplomatic tensions between Morocco and the European Union. The King proposed developing new cooperation models that align with the current realities and strengthening policies focused on creating jobs, supporting youth, and developing the private sector. The speech also addressed the importance of boosting confidence in national institutions and achieving economic and social integration amid current challenges.
