Libya Plans to Sue Israel at ICJ
The article discusses Libya's decision to file a lawsuit before the International Court of Justice against Israel to hold it accountable for the downing of a Libyan plane in 1973 over Sinai, which resulted in the deaths of 108 people. This accusation comes more than five decades after the incident and is based on the development of new evidence and increased legal cooperation between Libya and international institutions. It is emphasized that this move aims to resolve the issue legally and does not constitute an acknowledgment of Israel. Libya's plan includes submitting an official request detailing the dispute and the legal arguments to substantiate Israel's violations of international agreements, thereby bringing the case back to the international arena and supporting its efforts to seek justice.
