Russian raid kills 14 in Ukraine

Fourteen people were killed, including four children, and fifty others were injured, including seven children, as a result of a Russian air strike on the city of Brylivka in Chernihiv Province in northern Ukraine. Rescue teams continue their efforts. Ukrainian forces announced that they shot down 44 Russian missiles and 117 drones during the attack. In response, Kyiv bombed two Russian oil facilities and training grounds in Perym, Samara, and Astrakhan regions, in retaliation for the Russian assaults. As part of support efforts, Ukraine received 1.24 billion euros from the European Union to strengthen its defensive capabilities. Meanwhile, Russia condemned European "militarization," considering that the Union is attempting to turn itself into a military-political bloc and threatening its security.
