France boosts aid to Yemen with 3 million euros
The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that France will provide an additional 3 million euros to assist Yemen, increasing the total aid to 7 million euros in 2026. This comes amid the escalation of military conflict between the Saudi-backed government forces and the Iran-supported Houthi rebels. Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barré noted that Houthi attacks on the Bab el-Mandeb Strait have caused a new humanitarian crisis, with ongoing clashes resulting in Yemeni forces regaining control of Al-Mokha city and launching a strategic offensive towards Sanaa. Humanitarian conditions in Yemen are worsening, with millions of people displaced under difficult circumstances.
