Norway reviews ban on AI glasses
The Norwegian government has announced that it will propose a temporary ban on the use of AI glasses in public places such as parks, gardens, museums, and shopping centers, due to concerns over privacy violations and the capturing of photos or audio recordings of individuals without their consent. The potential ban will also include places requiring privacy, such as hospitals and restrooms, with an exception for private use that does not pose a risk of unauthorized filming to others. The government plans to present a bill to Parliament and establish an expert team to develop regulations governing the use of technology that could be secretly operated through glasses equipped with cameras and artificial intelligence.
