Omani Defense: Evacuation of 10 crew from targeted vessel near Musandam
The Omani Ministry of Defense announced the implementation of a medical evacuation operation for ten crew members of a merchant ship that was targeted in the Gulf near Musandam Province. The crew were airlifted to a hospital after a fire broke out on the vessel. This comes amid escalating tensions between the United States and Iran, which are affecting maritime crossings through the Strait of Hormuz, with Qatar reaffirming its ongoing efforts to mediate between the two countries to resolve the crisis.
