Israel crosses into Syria with Sufa 53

The article primarily discusses the "Sufa 53 Line" project implemented by Israel within Syrian territory in the Quneitra countryside, along the separation line with the occupied Golan. The project aims to dig a fortified military route, including earthen barriers, trenches, and observation points, stretching approximately 70 kilometers. Its strategic goal is to impose a new reality by dividing the buffer zone and establishing a permanent military infrastructure, which has sparked international and Syrian condemnations. The project distorts agricultural lands and threatens regional security. Damascus and Doha affirm that the project violates the 1974 Separation of Forces Agreement, while Israel seeks to strengthen its defenses and secure its borders. The project carries military and strategic dimensions and continues to alter the landscape of agricultural lands and disrupt the lives of civilians.
