Pakistani Delegation in Riyadh for Mecca Meeting

High-level delegations from Pakistan will arrive in Saudi Arabia to participate in a meeting of the Political and Defense Committee stemming from the Mecca Cooperative Defense Agreement. The meeting, held in Riyadh, will discuss the latest regional developments, including the Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia. The talks will cover cooperation among the three countries (Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Turkey), as well as ways to address the Houthi threats, including a proposed political approach rather than military action. It is worth noting that the agreement signed last August committed to mutual defense, and more than six countries have expressed interest in joining it, though the activation process is expected to take about a year.
