DeepSea reveals tools for Huawei AI chips
DeepSeaK, in collaboration with Huawei, has launched new artificial intelligence chip software, including the TileLang platform as an alternative to Nvidia's CUDA platform. This initiative aims to enhance competition in the Chinese tech market and reduce reliance on American technologies. The tools are freely downloadable and allow for the development of AI applications using Huawei's Ascend chips, with a focus on improving software performance on the Ascend 950 chips. This move is part of China's broader efforts to build an integrated ecosystem based on domestic hardware and software, with plans to deploy over 160,000 Huawei accelerators at a major data center in Inner Mongolia. The company is seeking to enhance its global competitive capabilities. Currently, DeepSeaK is valued at around $74 billion, prior to a potential market launch.
