Fly Dubai executes rapid 17,000-foot descent
Reports of the "Fly Dubai" flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv indicate that the aircraft experienced a sudden and harsh landing, descending approximately 17,400 feet in less than two minutes as a result of a cockpit attack that led to the loss of control and rudder systems. This caused panic among passengers and necessitated diverting the flight to Saudi Arabia. The pilots performed a sharp landing simulation and confirmed that the aircraft received warnings of overspeed, with damage to parts such as the rudder. The incident involved a sudden drop of 20,000 feet in 35 seconds, leading to system shut-downs and considerable confusion among passengers. They have been advised not to speculate about the incident at this time.
