Al-‘Azm al-Salb leaves Iraq

The US-led international coalition has concluded the "Resolute Support" mission in Iraq after years of assisting the Baghdad government in its fight against ISIS. The mission has shifted to Jordan, while intelligence support to Iraqi partners continues. The Iraqi Prime Minister emphasized that the end of the mission does not signify the end of their fight against terrorism, and that Iraq will take full responsibility for security in accordance with the constitution. Currently, the focus is on dismantling militias and curbing Iranian influence. Despite the withdrawal, Iran and its allies declared it a victory, amid concerns over ongoing geopolitical challenges.
