Israel and Morocco to upgrade diplomatic mission

Israel and Morocco have reached an understanding to elevate their respective diplomatic missions to full embassies and appoint ambassadors, in order to strengthen bilateral relations. This came during a trilateral meeting in New York attended by Israeli Foreign Minister Yad Vashem Saar, Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita, and U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, Mark Wallace. They agreed to finalize two agreements—one on investment protection and the other on double taxation avoidance—by the end of 2026, in addition to expanding direct flights and exchanging official visits. This approach aims to enhance economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.
