Iran reveals Erbil strike details
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps reiterated in a statement their responsibility for the bombing of sites in Erbil in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, in response to previous attacks and bloody events in the area. The statement clarified that the attack was carried out as revenge for the killing of hundreds of children by the American military, who were targeted in the Minab and Lamard regions, as well as a wedding massacre in Serik Island that resulted in the death of approximately 70 civilians. The forces also indicated they destroyed a maintenance center and American military warehouses in Erbil using rockets and drones, in addition to destroying an American espionage system and igniting fires in fuel tanks, marking an escalation that threatens the stability of the region amid a series of offensive exchanges between Iran and the U.S. since the end of July.
