Trump relieves Russia from tariffs

U.S. President Donald Trump issued a decree exempting Russia from many of the related sanctions and customs duties before they took effect under a law he signed last month. This comes amid a rapprochement with Russia and criticisms of Ukraine's policies, with Trump affirming that the exemption serves America's national interest. The law, which imposed tariffs of up to 100% on oil and gas imports from Russia's largest exporters, aimed to punish Moscow for circumventing sanctions, but it was temporarily suspended by this decision.
