Bouraakoub irrigation cut harms citrus yield

The agricultural sector in Bou Argoub, Nabeul Governorate, faces numerous challenges that impact the productivity of agricultural produce. The problems are characterized by the absence of mid-sized fruit fly pesticide distribution for some time, and a water supply interruption for more than 20 days, leading to losses exceeding 10% in the citrus crop. Additionally, damages in the smooth orange sector have worsened due to the spread of the red mite, accompanied by criticisms of the effectiveness of the current resistance plan and questions about how the allocated financial resources for its control are being managed.
