Settlers attack American journalist

American journalist Heidi Levine, 64 years old, was brutally assaulted by Israeli settlers while covering the olive harvest near Ramallah. She was injured and taken to the hospital. The masked and armed settlers beat and kicked her severely, while stealing her cameras and phone. Other Palestinians were also injured in the same attack, suffering various wounds. The United States and the Palestinian Red Crescent condemned the incident, while Israel promised to investigate. Questions have been raised about the Israeli army's use of tear gas and live fire to protect the settlers, amid increasing attacks on Palestinians during the olive harvest season.
