The blockage of the stormwater drainage system in the square of Environment Street in the center of Tabarba, Monastir Governorate, has led to the appearance of contaminated water, foul odors, and obstructions that hinder movement—especially during the times when students leave the primary schools of Khir Dine Tunis and the New neighborhood. Despite the absence of rain, the accumulation of trash and polluted water has worsened the problem and expanded the scope of pollution. This situation is attributed to a lack of intervention from the municipal authority and cleaning services to clean and repair the drains. The current situation requires urgent action to clean the stormwater channels and clear the blockages to prevent the problem from recurring and to protect pedestrians, especially children.
