Tunis Municipalities Seizes 535 Vendor Carts
The Municipality of Tunis, in coordination with security and municipal police, seized 535 manual carts made of metal and wood used by street vendors in various areas of the capital. Additionally, five large trucks containing wooden and metal barriers, unidentified supplies, and three trucks belonging to "Freib" were also confiscated. All seized items were taken to the municipal detention shelter as part of a campaign aimed at eliminating the spread of informal vendors. This effort is part of broader initiatives to regulate markets, protect public health, and ensure safety. The campaign targeted areas such as El Khirba, Sbaakhine Street, Bab Al Jazeera, Asr Market, the Central Market, and other routes across the capital, in coordination with health, security, and technical teams.
