STEG employees threaten strike

The electricity and gas company in Tunisia continues to experience tensions between workers and management, as employees have threatened to go on strike in protest against deteriorating working conditions and the company's management’s delays in responding to their demands. The latest meeting, held at the company's headquarters under the chairmanship of the regional labor union, included calls to strengthen safety and occupational health standards, review the wage structure, address issues related to workers' rights and the social fund, and hold management responsible for the worsening working conditions and the rising number of work-related accidents, particularly those concerning protective equipment.
