Plan to offer free solar to million Tunisian families

Tunisia is working on a project aimed at enabling one million families to install free solar panels. The initiative targets those consuming less than 1,100 kilowatt-hours annually, most of whom benefit from a government subsidy of up to 80%. The project, called "Photovoltaic Citizenship," will be implemented over four years. Additionally, Tunisia will host the fourth edition of the International Energy Transition Fair "SITE 2026," with the participation of more than 60 local and international companies and 10 startups, with the goal of attracting investments and promoting international cooperation in the renewable energy sector.
