Trump removes long-standing Lebanon-US flight bans

U.S. President Donald Trump officially canceled the long-standing flight restrictions imposed on Lebanon, opening the door for the resumption of direct flights between the two countries, especially on the Beirut-New York route. The cancellation, dated September 30,, lifts restrictions that were in place to ensure the security of the aircraft from unlawful takeover, reflecting confidence in Lebanese security measures. However, there are still organizational and security procedures that need to be finalized, and no date has been set for the start of direct flights yet.
